How We Rank Killers

This tier list reflects post-May 2026 SCP patch performance in Violence District's Top 10 public queues and organized custom lobbies. We weigh chase potential, map pressure, generator slowdown, hook conversion, and skill floor —not cosmetic appeal or unlock cost alone.

Tiers are S through D. S killers dominate multiple map types with forgiving learning curves at high MMR. A killers excel in most scenarios but demand perk awareness. B killers swing with map layout and survivor coordination. C killers require exceptional game sense or fall off against meta survivor perks like Flow State and Heads Up.

Unlock prices matter for economy planning —The Cure costs 15,000 Screws —but tier placement measures in-match power. A cheap killer can outrank an expensive one if the kit underperforms in data.

S and A Tier Breakdown

The Hidden sits alone at S-tier. Stealth burst, unpredictable approach angles, and map-wide psychological pressure force survivors off generators even when Hidden is on the opposite side of the map. Flashlight teams counter somewhat, but pub queues rarely coordinate three beam rotations every match.

The Slasher holds A-tier as the most reliable chase killer. Clear power windows, strong hook pressure, and straightforward mind games make Slasher the recommended first purchase after the free roster. The Cure joined A-tier after the SCP update: high ceiling zone control and punishing clumped gen repairs, but expensive and ability-dependent —new killer mains may lose more until powers are mastered.

Neither Hidden nor Slasher is "auto-win" in a 5v1 with five completed generators required. Tier placement assumes you hit powers consistently and respect tile loops documented in our killer guides.

Mid and Low Tier Nuance

The Stalker lands B/C-tier depending on map and survivor perk stack. Tracking strengths shine on large maps with long sightlines, but coordinated Flashlight and Motion Tracker play drops Stalker to C in tournament-style lobbies. Treat Stalker as B in pub matchmaking, C when facing voice-coordinated squads.

The Masked and Abysswalker share B-tier: Masked for mind games and moderate mobility, Abysswalker for zone denial and area control. The starter killer listed as The Killer sits C/D-tier —fine for learning hooks and break timings, outclassed once survivors run meta perks. The Veil remains C-tier with the highest skill ceiling; experts argue B, but average pub win rates keep Veil lower until more data arrives.

Economy and Meta Shifts

Save Screws with intent. If you own Hidden and Slasher, evaluate The Cure in free custom lobbies before spending 15,000 Screws. Watch Discord patch notes —developers tune SCP killers faster than legacy roster characters when hook rates skew.
