Glossary —Violence District

Last updated: June 21, 2026

Match Objective Terms

Generator: interactive machine survivors repair from zero to one hundred percent. Five completed generators power the exit gates. Partial progress does not transfer between generators.

Exit Gate: powered door survivors open after five gens complete. Escaping through a gate counts as survivor win for that player.

Hook: structure where downed survivors are placed. First hook allows rescue, second hook threatens elimination on third hook. Hook states drive rescue economy.

Shutdown: killer win condition category when survivors cannot finish objectives —typically through eliminations or time expiration depending on mode tuning.

Skill Check: rotating repair mini-game. Success continues progress; failure alerts killer with loud audio and brief stall.

Economy Terms

Screws: primary currency for unlocking killers from the store. The Cure costs 15,000 Screws from the SCP update —the highest known killer gate.

Emblems: currency for survivor perks and items. Earned from matches alongside Screws but spent on different vendors.

Promo Code: external string redeemed inside Roblox for free currency or cosmetics. No active codes exist in June 2026 —see Active Codes page after patches.

Alpha: development phase label Violence District used during rapid feature rollout —economy and balance still shift frequently.

Survivor Terms

Perk: permanent unlock modifying stats or abilities. Three perk slots per match. Examples include Flow State for repair and Heads Up for awareness.

Item: single-slot equipable tool —flashlight, bandage, motion tracker. Separate from perk economy.

Loop: repeatable chase path using windows and pallets to extend killer pursuit time.

Gen Rush: strategy maximizing early simultaneous generator progress, trading rescue speed for objective output.

Body Block: standing in killer swing path during unhook or pickup to force hit on rescuer instead of hooked survivor.

Killer Ability Terms

Stealth: concealed state reducing detection —The Hidden S-tier ambush tool.

Lake Fog: Slasher mist limiting survivor vision near gens or chase zones.

Pursuit: Slasher speed burst for closing distance after vault or line break.

Mask RNG: Masked killer random roll among Panther, Lizard, Tiger, and Duck masks changing playstyle.

Tier 1 / 2 / 3: Stalker escalation phases —stalk buildup through maximum speed elimination window.

Frenzy Mode: Killer burst window of accelerated attacks or movement after trigger conditions.

Horizontal Slash: Abysswalker wide cleave arc hitting multiple survivors in swing plane.

Void Wave: Abysswalker ground pulse for lane denial and check interruption.

Crouch Dodge: Abysswalker low-profile dodge avoiding pallets and stuns.

Spear Throw: Veil wall-piercing projectile requiring line prediction.

Elucidation: Cure scan revealing survivor positions or states.

I Am The Cure: Cure signature finisher on downed or threshold targets.

SCP Minions: Cure deployable entities applying zone pressure on gens and hooks.

Community and Meta Terms

Tier List: ranked S-through-D opinions on killers, perks, or items for current meta —community curated, not official balance.

Pub Lobby: public matchmaking queue with random teammates —coordination lower than private voice squads.

Tunneling: killer focusing one survivor from first hit to elimination —strong endgame, weak early.

Camping: killer staying near hook to punish unhook —trades gen progress for kill pressure.

Trello: developer public board tracking roadmap and patch notes —see Official Trello Links page.

Meta Shift: balance change that reorders tier lists after patches —common after SCP and Cure releases.
